Well, it’s here. The final pattern of my Mimi G Capsule and I’m ending it on a bang! This is the cardigan from S8177.
If there were ever a workhorse in a wardrobe, this would be it. It’s a long lined cardigan that can be made with either a stretch or woven fabric. Because I like comfort and like to move freely, I decided to make mine from a ponte. When choosing the fabric, I knew I wanted a plain color, but a solid ponte just sounded a bit boring. That’s when I spotted this wonderful ponte by Telio on Fabric.com. It is navy with a jacquard spot running through it. It was perfect!
Because the pattern was made for both stretch and woven, it included some fantastic details like darts and a 2 piece sleeve. Having a larger bust, I can really appreciate a good bust dart even in a sturdy knit!
The pattern also features inseam pockets and a faux welt pocket with flap. The back is finished off with a lovely vent for movement.
I’m also really loving the length of this cardigan. I think it adds a bit of drama to all my outfits. I can get behind some drama in my wardrobe!
Not too much else to say other than it’s cozy and warm and is going to get a ton of wear this winter!
Stay tuned for a final lookbook and then it’ll be time to move on to the next!
