This one was a last minute addition to the capsule. I have been walking outside in the mornings and wearing my current Kelly. I was noticing, however, that I needed something warmer. I had seen a few others quilt the lining of their Kelly’s with thinsulate and decided to join the club and make my own. Therefore, my newest Kelly Anorak was born!
I am so pleased with how this one turned out. I have made this jacket before, but never with the lining expansion pack (that was released after I made my first version). I used the lining pack for this one, however, and used a Liberty Tana Lawn for the lining of the body and the hood. For the sleeves, I used a rayon Bemberg so they would be slippery enough to get the coat on and off!
Again, I quilted the lining with some thinsulate to give it added warmth and it worked wonders. This coat is so warm! I used a cotton twill for the body and the hardware kit from Closet Case. If you’re interested in hearing more about the making of the coat, it featured in a few of my Vlogmas episodes:
While it might have been last minute, this jacket has already secured a spot on the most worn list!
Next up will be the final lookbook for this final Fall/Winter capsule!
