Welcome back to my Sew My Style Work to Weekend capsule posts! Today, I wanted to talk about the pants in this collection, the Camille pants. This pattern also has two different versions of jumpsuits that I will definitely be trying when the weather warms up again next year. However, I wanted to do all separates for this capsule, so I went with the trouser version. I would also like to point out that these were the exact pants I have been wanting to make FOREVER.
The pants feature a pleated front, wide legs, inseam pockets and an invisible zipper up the center back seam. They went together very quickly and I had minimal fitting to do to the pattern. I used a wool/nylon crepe and they are basically perfect.
Here are the adjustments I made to the pattern for fitting:
I sewed a size 12 and graded to a 14 at the waist
I took off 4” in length off the legs
I took 2” out of the rise in the front and went to 1” at the side seam
I took 1” out of the side seam on the back to nothing at center back.
Again, these pants sewed up very quickly and are such a fun addition to my Fall/Winter wardrobe!
For some ideas on other ways to style these pants, I’ve made a little YouTube video:
Be on the lookout for the final piece in this capsule - the Anna Trench Coat!
Until next time!
